Production Manager

AbelCine is a leading provider of equipment, technology, and production services for the broadcast, film, and new media industries. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Manager to join our Production Services division in support of our key client, Blackstone, Inc.

Blackstone Production manages a wide array of content, including marketing campaign videos, digital series, social media reels, case studies, and animated or VFX-based videos. As Production Manager, this role will ensure the smooth execution of these projects by delivering high-level administrative and production support and work closely with producers and stakeholders to keep projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business units and creative teams to review project intake requests and define objectives, timelines, and requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate intake meetings, pre-production calls, production days, and post-production transitions.
  • Source and secure vendors, freelancers, and rental equipment; negotiate rates and confirm bookings.
  • Monitor performance of external partners and escalate concerns to the Production Management Lead.
  • Partner with producers to develop and manage production budgets from planning through wrap.
  • Oversee crew travel logistics and review associated expenses.
  • Reconcile project invoices and expenses; ensure accurate cost center assignment and update business units on final spend.
  • Manage on-set logistics, coordinate building access, and meet insurance and compliance needs.
  • Maintain production calendars, trackers, and documentation for clear reporting and visibility.
  • Provide on-set and administrative support, respond to urgent production requests, and ensure shoot schedules and call sheets are optimized.
  • Capture, archive, and track release forms for each production.
  • Validate freelancer timecards for accuracy in hours and pay rates.
  • Create clear reports and provide quarterly performance metrics to the Production Management Lead.
  • Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining production quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in production management, coordination, or corporate content production.
  • Strong budgeting and crewing knowledge, with familiarity in production equipment and workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with project management tools (SmartSheet preferred).
  • Familiarity with Coupa and Concur systems a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in or with corporate environments and internal stakeholders.

Physical Effort:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing work at a computer, requiring frequent use of monitors
  • Manual dexterity and mobility required
  • Standing and walking for the duration of the work shift
  • Occasional reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching
  • Occasional lifting or moving supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs., including items located above shoulder level

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC (Fully Onsite)
Compensation: $105K - $115K annually
Status: Full-Time Position
